#Dangal is a movie that has broken quiet a few cliches. What usually drives me to watch a movie is great songs, handsome heroes or popular star cast and a decent storyline, which nowadays is difficult to find. If you have the time to do a bit research you will unearth that all blockbusters do have 2 or more of what I enlisted above. But for Dangal it does not need any of the above to steal the hearts of people.
An inspiring true story about two Harayana gals who put India back on the map for wrestling and winning Gold.
Well scripted and for a story line about sports I must applaud Nitesh Tiwari, Piyush Gupta and others who managed to bring satire intelligently and keep the audience in their seats. Though it had a much predictable ending, never saw the twist of the lockdown. To summarise there was not a single dry eye in the audience and the entire star cast delivered their part beautifully. Names Geetha and Babitha are etched in our minds. The powerful message that girls are not inferior than boys is not lost on the audience. Somehow #AmirKhan has figured out and carved a niche in making sports movie that delivers each and every time. #Lagaan and now #Dangal keep it coming dude.
Also our country so crazed over cricket and its sad that athletes of only this particular sport are recognised and awarded. This movie subtly tries to convey this message and hope the sports community helps and recognises the talent to reach their potential.
